2007 Trax Concept From Chevrolet

Minicars are just fabulous! And I think that they are just like an adorable little baby in a stroller. How cute is that?

Speaking about minicars, one of the latest breed of this class is the 2007 Chevrolet Trax Concept. By the way, this model is not an alternate for the Tracker and the Trax is just somewhat smaller.

The 2007 Chevrolet Trax Concept is one of three worldwide minicar concepts designed in Korea. It will be unveiled on the upcoming 2007 New York Auto Show. Chevrolet presents quite an uncertainty phase that resulted in building three concepts.

The public will choose what concept is the best out of the three models and this would be done through a website that still would have to be setup by Chevy themselves. And they would be presenting the web site after the unveiling of the three new models which would happen on the 4th day of April and that would serve as the vehicles’ official introduction to the industry.

Young customers are the main focus of Chevrolet to be promoted in the urban market. The two other concepts which were built in accordance with GM’s platform for global minicar were designed to attract young generations. A light and quite fair 1.0-liter gasoline engine will power the 2007 Trax and the vehicle would also come installed with the best Chevy parts. Plus, the vehicle would also be styled with an appealing body and armed with reliable auto body parts. The design caters to the much unwearied young customers in a slackly and slow-moving markets.

I guess this cute minicar will earn satisfactory credits from the crowd. It may not be as powerful and as classy compared to other cars, the 2007 Chevy Trax differs in its own little way. In conclusion, it’s not bad after all! It’s definitely cute!

Nissan Tiida Arrives in Europe

It looks like a homecoming ball. Or the Pope arriving in the city. Well, at least, we do know that all preparations done by Nissan Europe and company are for the imminent arrival and presentation of their Tiida model this coming June.

It was announced yesterday and it was confirmed that the Nissan Tiida will be on sale on June 2007. This car is the newest addition subsequently next to the recently launched QASHQAI which is a C-segment and cross-over model. This addition to Nissan’s line-up is a symbol of a developing auto company not just in Europe but in the international market as well.

Car fanatics will definitely be delighted as this new baby from Nissan will unveil itself in Nissan showrooms in Europe. I myself am excited for this.

According to reports, Nissan was just evaluating individual markets based in Europe for them to classify the basic concentration of devoted customers. They studied how people will respond upon releasing a related type of model similar to the Primera and the Almera across the European countries.

Would it be an asset to Nissan Company in the future? Now that’s the big question for the Nissan Tiida, and definitely, the model itself will provide the answer for the car maker soon enough.

“Ever changing tide” - that’s what the word ‘Tiida’ means as derived from the Japanese language. I bet you didn’t know that. The car will provide the satisfaction for every customer who seeks for a comfortable, interior space, stylish exterior car parts, and an easy to use conventional type of car. You see, what the Tiida is all about!

And by the way, Tiida comes with a 4 and 5 door version so you can choose and it also features three engines - a 1.5dCi with 105hp, a 1.6 liter petrol with 110hp and a 1.8 litre petrol with 126hp. 300,000 units more or less will be produced every year for Europe while its present sales in the US and Japan are both successful.

Welcome to the auto world, Tiida!

The 2008 BMW M3 V-8 Engine

Competition among popular automobiles goes clashing through the very hearts of their system. Like real warriors facing it out in the battlefield, one’s courage is measured form his heart and soul not only in their outside appearance. And like most cars, their over-all performance is measured from what’s under the hood, the engine! It’s their heart and soul.

And, oh, toughness or greatness isn’t measured just through a car’s exterior auto parts – what is inside and what lies beneath a car’s body is even of greater importance.

Like any other car manufacturer, BMW is considered as one of the top leaders when it comes to creating vehicles with top auto performance. Take for example the 2008 BMW M3. It has evolved into a much developed model as the years pass by. And speaking of competition, the E92 M3 has to contend against its rival, the Audi RS4 which comes with 420 horsepower. Smells like a fierce contest.

From its previous 3.2-liter, the BMW M3 needs a little more boost and maybe a little displacement here or some upgrading there. The ideal cylinder preferred by BMW should be larger than 500cc, so they came up with the V-8 to get the job done. The M class of BMW did not honor the idea of applying turbocharger. They thought it would bring extra weight as it burns fuel fast and make it a monster in fuel consumption. As a substitute, they used the constant Osterizer. In order for the engine to dig up power and maintain speed.

Now here’s what the engine offers. It powers up to 8400 rpm and it is the world’s fastest high-volume V-8 engine. With its power, the 3999-cc V-8 frappes with a 90 degree crank which is cross-planed at 8300 rpm and 295 lb-ft at 3900 rpm. Now that’s what you call absolute power!

The specifications for the US BMW M3 have not been finalized yet. The facts that I got told me that the digit 420 is in fact German hp, “Pferdestarke,” and this is equal to 414 US hp. On the other hand, the engine is evaluated at 309 kW and that is quite similar to the Audi RS4. But I bet BMW will do some improvements to beat its competitors. So go ahead and how them your heart and soul BMW!

VW: To Cut 10% Of Its Workforce

  • Mar 21, 2007
  • Post a comment

Volkswagen’s Spanish division Seat SA was noted to be unprofitable that the German auto maker decided to cut off 10% of its workforce in the next two to three years and this is after the loss starting 2004.

A total of 13,000 workers are employed in the Seat, Spain and in the next years to come, the division might cut employees because of its failure to gain more profits. The Seat spokesman Ignacio Leon told a source on a telephone interview, “We are presenting a package of measures to reduce our workforce through 2009. We are negotiating now with our unions.''

The Europe's largest automaker shifted Erich Schmitt in September from overseeing purchasing at the Audi luxury division to succeed retiring Seat Chairman Andreas Schleef in an effort to make the division gain more. So, the plant reduces the work force in Barcelona, Spain-based Seat and since last year, it was suggested and discussed by Schmitt. However, the VW Spain Seat may profit in 2008.

VW’s shares in the 104.24 euros in Frankfurt increased by 1.4% and even its stock were able to increase by 21% this year, valuing the Wolfsburg, Germany-based carmaker at 37.8 billion euros.

Leon added, “Seat will offer early retirement and severance packages to achieve workforce reductions. The cuts come on top of a previous reduction. The division reached an agreement with unions in December 2005 to eliminate 660 jobs through early retirements and buyouts.”

To clear its inventory, the Seat starts holding its production on the first week of this March. The company is opting to invest more to gain 450M euros annually in coming years to develop new vehicles, including a sedan and a small sport-utility vehicle.

Meanwhile, Volkswagen parts like VW inner tie rods are still available on most of its new models.

Honda S2000 Club Racer Debuts in New York

  • Mar 15, 2007
  • Post a comment

We cannot satisfy our curiosity with our minds being tricked and played around by our own imagination. So now we beg Honda and company to please show us the stuff… because we can’t wait for April.

Anyhow, everybody anticipates the debut of Honda’s S2000 Club Racer prototype at the 2007 New York Auto Show. Honda’s short and simple press release leaves everyone with a large amount of excitement just yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, they never posted any teaser ad or something that will feed the curious minds of all car fanatics and spectators. As a result, everyone looks forward to the 2007 New York Auto Show just few weeks from now, and of course everybody is hoping that they would surely be fulfilled by what they would be presented with.

Honda’s S2000 Club Racer is defined as “aggressively-tuned” and it will step into the next level as a worthy track performer. Imagine the previous S2000 model trimmed to be a world class sport car. Probably with gorgeous rims and wheels that have been well built, a very stylish body, a first class exterior and interior design and a splendid engine system - this ride will certainly be the crowd’s attraction and would take and own the attention of almost all goers. It would probably be just like eating your favorite ice cream - with cherries on top.

Rumors still abound that a replacement is being readied by Honda which may actually deviate sharply from the S2000's steadfast formula of being a high-strung, two-seat sports convertible. This new Club Racer inspired by the S2000 is rumored to have the capacity to run for miles and without a doubt prove itself as a legendary road performer. It could also perhaps take new heights of auto performance to the highest level. Watch out as it unveils in the 2007 New York Auto Show this coming April.

Tips on Buying a Second Hand Car Online

  • Mar 8, 2007
  • Post a comment

Buying a second hand car online may sound to be quite a little troublesome for you. But no. It can be as easy as buying a Toyota door handle online.

On the other hand, it is also important to note that there are many fraudulent sites and fraudulent people on the net and you must also take extra precaution. But if you are looking for a car but you do not want to spend much, buying a second hand car is a brilliant idea.

Of course, you sure would want to have all the options open. But it doesn’t ends there. You must have enough knowledge about the deals that you may get. Now, you don’t have to go outside the comfort of your own home to look for used cars because you search for it right in front of your desk. You don’t have to exert so much effort that you only have to sit there and wait for the used car to be delivered right at your own door. Sounds pretty cool, right?

ehow.com prepared these simple instructions for you to find for used cars online in a real time. Here. Read the tips and follow these simple steps:

  1. Look for the official website of the car you wish to purchase. What you need to look for are specifications, prices and other related information about your chosen model. You can also try to visit some local dealer and look for the best deal.
  2. The next step will be to look for online car reviewers which can give you more information about the car you have chosen. These third party reviewers presents a perspective opinion abut the pros and cons of the cars that undergone tests. The more sources that you can use to compare, the more accurate your information is likely to be.
  3. Get a Carfax report to see if your car has been damaged in the past.
  4. Conclude the transaction online or have the car held for your approval once you have chosen a vehicle and the place to buy it.
  5. Now, you need to wait for the car to arrive or you can pick it up for your self.

That doesn’t ends there. You need to check the security settings of the website where you choose to purchase a used car. To effectively do this, check more than one website. Don’t forget important features like gas mileage. Choose the nearest local car online shop or else you might need to pay for additional fees for distant car store. Never buy a car without looking at it first. The picture online might alter the true condition of the car you wish to have. Check if faulty car parts exist. Now if you do all these with perfection, I guarantee you will enjoy your new ride.
