During the presentation and launching of new concept cars and production vehicles in the latest automotive event of the month, the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, the Ford Motor Company came in with big time quality automobiles and… a pretty small business van package! Ford is dancing to the rhythm of its international product forces to assemble and bond small business owners in North America with the European-engineered Ford Transit Connect. According to the Auto Channel, the Transit Connect is intended to bring a fresh vehicle alternative that provides superior fuel economy, larger load capacity and improved cargo convenience especially designed for American small business owners.
“Ford Transit Connect is built on a dedicated, commercial vehicle platform to meet the rigors business use demands. This workhorse is like nothing available today in the American market. The Transit Connect provides another example of Ford’s commitment to deliver 100 percent new or upgraded products that people truly want and value by the end of 2010,” says Derrick Kuzak, Ford group vice president of Global Product Development.
The Transit Connect is projected to be a genuinely hot stuff for North America. Its flanking rivals are cargo vans from Chevrolet and Dodge. The vehicle features simplicity in design but brags suitable standards as convenient as repair manuals.
“More than ever before, consumers are making the bulk of their purchases from the Internet and smaller, specialty businesses, which is increasing the volume of small package deliveries,” said Kuzak. “Transit Connect is ideally suited to meet those delivery needs because of its flexible package, compact size and fuel-efficient powertrain. It will make the delivery process for small business owners easier and more affordable.”
Colors make every empty space alive! Colors are the soul in every living or non-living things here on earth. Without these vibrant elements, life will be left meaningless! Now, imagine cars without any shade of color at all… ugly, right? It will be so boring if all you see on the streets are cars with only black and white paint jobs. Colors are very significant on a car’s appearance and appeal. Car buyers are usually strict with what types of colors are available in a model. The car with the hottest paintjob has the greatest chance to be sold out of dealerships!
For the year 2008 models, Ford has prepared a brand new set of hot colors on its palette! These totally awesome shades are fashionable hues, expressive metallics and the largest selection of colors!
“People express themselves in every aspect of their lives - from the hues in which they dress themselves and their homes to the color of vehicles that they drive - so we strive to deliver dynamic and diverse colors. After all, it’s the paint color that will first connect the customer with a vehicle, so we’re designing the best core colors technology now allows, along with the freshest hues to match the design trends and tastes of our diverse customers,” says Jon Hall, Ford’s lead paint designer.
According to the news published in TheAutoChannel.com, Ford designers started expanding the 2008 model year paint line-up around 36 months ago. They started projecting stylistic, cultural and design trends to bring out new palette and also worked with top global color forecasters which include Pantone. The classics are aiming for a fresh visual intensity for the 2008 model year and new dazzling feature colors will come into view as well.
“We look to various elements of our environment for inspiration about new color trends, including architecture and product design because these items have longevity. We figure if customers are going to commit to a brightly colored washer and dryer or sofa for instance, they’re apt to also choose a bolder-colored vehicle that will live their driveway for several years,” Hall added.
